The project Sanos was defined within the scope of the Health Agency from Valencia as an Open Source Migration office, through which new projects and technologies are analyzed and the feasibility of being tackled through open solutions is studied, or the analysis of migration to open source of existing projects and infrastructures.
The project consisted on the development of interactive contents and games for learning the English language through contents provided by Vaughan. Contents and games based in puzzles where integrated in the environment of the Univadis portal and offered a more dynamic and entertaining model to learn English.
The project implied giving a training course on JBoss technology for the Ayuntamiento de Alicante. JBoss is an open source J2EE application server. Being based in Java, JBoss can be used in any operative system where Java is available. The main developers work for a service company, JBoss Inc., acquired by Red Hat in April 2006, founded by Marc Fleury, the creator of the first version of JBoss.
The Regional Association of Popular Universities of Extremadura (AUPEX) needed to deploy projects in Ajax and Squeak. These technologies are valid in multiple platforms and operative systems, as they are based in open standards like JavaScript and DOM. These need oriented the execution to several training courses in this environment.
