The objective of this project was to create a website for asthmatic children. The children to whom the website was orientated had a very short age so the presentation had to be very attractive for them. Moreover, it had to have a high extensibility and traceability. On the other hand, the system had to have some advanced security aspects concerning the information given n the website.
Considering the specific characteristics of the project it was decided to use the Typo3 content manager which works with the PHP technology and offers very high extensibility and traceability levels.
The platform was implemented on a Linux Red Hat platform which worked with an Apache Web Server and the MySQL system of data managing. The website had a child-like graphic design made from flash applications. It had games, puzzles, questionnaires, and several dynamic activities.
The website respects the law concerning the Personal Data treatment.
