Customer: MSD Espaņa
During the past few years, the educative technologies have improved a lot due to the specific educative needs of each company: Nowadays the staff is much more dispersed and therefore a much more personalized educative process is needed.
According with this situation, Open Sistemas developed for the pharmaceutical multinational MSD a consultancy project with two main goals:
To assess the free platforms possibilities and their adaptation to the MSD needs.
To assess the advantages and disadvantages of the development of this kind of educative contents comparing with the classical ones.
After an exhaustive analysis of the educative oriented open source tools, Open Sistemas choused Dokeos for this project. This tool is ane-learning free platform which allows the user to create and manage virtual courses.
Dokeos allows to design, elaborate and implement internet educative environments with all the resources needed to manage, administrate and evaluate the educative activities.
This platforms works with modules and it offers synchronic asynchronous communication, a file repository, the possibility of including video and audio and some other functionalities that can be activated depending on the methodological criterion.
Different educative contents were created on this platform depending on the Scorm possibilities, like the educative content generation, the possibility of exporting it to other platforms or the content atomization.
After this project, MSD Espaņa reached higher stability and security levels. This new situation guarantees its future investments and helps for the content interchange, the specific design of personalized courses, the free election of content and tool suppliers and the development of courses for the platform.
