MSD multinational needed an online congress platform. The goals of this project were to decrease costs and time when setting up medical congresses through the internet, and to have the contents format standardized so that they could be used with other suppliers.
Usinga Linux platform, the Open CMS content manager on the Java Tomcat application and the Apache web server, Open Sistemas developed a XML oriented platform. This platforms allows the online congress creation. It is possible to include videos, sounds and slides and toplan when and where they will appear.
Thanks to this platform, users can access online congresses trough the internet. The fact that the same interface is being used in all the congresses helps to correctly use the tool.
The orientation of the platform standardizes the methodologies and working formats what can benefit the suppliers.
Ont he other hand, MSD reduces the development costs for new congresses,and it becomes independent from contents supplier platforms.Moreover, the health professionals receive the information in a record time and with very high quality levels.
