The administration and technical assistance of Linux on POWER based systems have been assigned to Open Sistemas by the Agencia Estatal de la Administración Tributaria. Among these responsibilities can be found specialized tasks such as the Linux kernel parameterization, efficiency improvements in IBM 690p Series processes, and a cluster made of more than one hundred IBM BladeCenter JS20 servers.
The 690 pSeries servers, which are based on Linux systems with IBM POWER4+ processors and are orientated to critical missions in very technical environments, are meant to cover all the reliability needs, the data processing, hardware infrastructure scalability and logical resources split capability.
