Using the SMS Notification System developed by Open Sistemas, at least 33.000 SMS where sent by the University of Valencia to inform its students of the registration period for the 2006-2007 year.
This is a new experience for the University Of Valencia and involves an innovative, customized and immediate way of communication between the university community members.
The service used has the following characteristics:
- SMS can be sent to more than one person at the same time.
- Immediate delivery reports.
- "Push" service for arriving SMS and delivery reports.
- SMS Push WAP support.
- 128 bits SSL encryption.
- Sender’s dynamic alias.
- Messaging commands by batch for massive sending.
- Total coverage in Spain and with many foreign operators.
- From 30 to 100 SMS can be sent per second.
