Customer: UIAGA
Within the Spanish Dermatology Academy (“Academia Española de Dermatología”), a group of expert dermatologists worked together with the researching group called UIAGA (Alopecia research group) in order to create a website with detailed information about hair loss and different solutions to face the problem.
Nowadays this web, which was developed from a earlier project of the UIAGA group in 2001, has more than 20.000 visits per month.
The project in which Open Sistemas took part was a second step in the website development. The main goal was to update the contents structure in order to offer more and better services not only to patients but also to professionals interested in clinical assays, personal experiences etc.
To achieve this goal many new functionalities were added to the portal. Some of them are a catalog of both dermatologists and pharmacies, a self-diagnosis test, public access forums, on-line consultation, audio streaming etc.
The portal migration to the Typo3 Contents Management System was done by Open Sistemas, paying special attention to the navigation structure,its contents and its adaptation to the LOPD (related to the use of personal information).
